Big Pages update is huge for Toolbox users!

Pages Layouts

Apple Pages has recently reached a significant new milestone with the updates to version 8.0 for Mac and 5.0 for iOS. While we would not normally mention updates to other developer’s software here, but this update got us excited about the new opportunities it opens up to our Toolbox for Pages users!

The new version of Pages saves custom templates in iCloud and makes them accessible on all your devices connected to the same iCloud account. This means that once you get a template from Toolbox for Pages and save it in the Template Chooser in Pages on one of your devices and it becomes immediately available in the Template Chooser in Pages on your other devices connected to the same iCloud account, both macOS and iOS! It is now possible to save the template once and have it available anywhere, instead of saving a document based on the template.

This is a massive step in the direction we want our products to be heading: making them truly multiplatform solutions, that you purchase once and have them conveniently available on all your devices.

Another significant addition to the new version of Pages is Layouts. This feature allows users to take our templates (or items from our templates) and create their own custom layouts and master pages designs for convenient use in their work via the Add Page menu (similar to the custom slide designs available via the Add Slide menu in Keynote). We will be including more Pages Layouts templates in Toolbox for Pages the near future.

If you need help understanding the use of the new Master Pages functionality, Apple have you covered:

We hope that these additions to Pages will make your use of Toolbox for Pages even more enjoyable and productive!
