Congratulate Martynas for taking 38th place in the 32nd World Chess Solving Championship!

We are proud to say that Martynas, a member of Jumsoft Team, not only participated in the 32nd World Chess Solving Championship (WCSC) but also took 38th place there! The competition was organized at the hotel “Jurmala Spa” in Latvia on September 2 and 3, 2008. Here is some news of his participation there.

The competition, Jurmala Open 2008, was held on the first day, and all willing to compete were welcome. Martynas was no exception. Participants had to solve 12 problems in chess, and each correct solution was worth 5 points. Fortunately for us, Martynas scored 43 points out of 60, taking 52nd place among 113 participants!

As mentioned earlier, the main purpose for Martynas’ attendance was to participate in the World Chess Solving Championship 2008. He had to solve a series of different types of chess problems in a certain amount of time during the tournament, which lasted two days, with three rounds each day. Martynas has scored 39 points out of 45 and took 36th place on the first day. On the second day, he scored 33.5 points out of 45, and the final result is worthy of many congratulations. He took 38th place in the World Chess Solving Championship 2008 with his total of 72.5 points!

“The most interesting thing was to see the strongest chess solving grandmasters and the masters from all over the world,” says Martynas. “It was my first World Chess Solving Championship, and I was very excited to participate, though some of the chess problems were quite difficult.”

Moreover, he did not expect that he would take 2nd place among the 4 participants from Lithuania. Congratulations, Martynas!

New Member on the Jumsoft Team!

A new member, Aiste, has just joined the team at Jumsoft! She is a smart and very creative person. Therefore, we have asked her to implement her capabilities here. She will be responsible for the writing of texts, manuals, and help documentation as well as providing support for our customers. In the near future, she will write articles for our blog. She is very communicative, so she wanted to introduce herself. Here are some thoughts from Aiste:

"My first experience with Jumsoft was incredible. Believe me, the first thing I did was to ask them if I could use Keynote Themes for my presentations at the university. The audience was stunned after I presented my ideas using Jumsoft’s Keynote Themes. They were surprised by the modern and eye-catching designs more than my ideas, but still, they asserted that it was the most interesting of all presentations that day, and my ideas were well-received. I always like to prove the capabilities of the products I recommend for others so that my descriptions of new products will be buttressed by real facts and experience.

At that time, I realized that Mac is always thinking about the ease of use, and that I want to be a part of it. Therefore, I am here! One of my intentions is to help you to make decisions, and the other one is to express myself in the best possible way. I wish to give my best effort for Jumsoft’s customers and to keep the development of Jumsoft’s products in line with their needs. The Jumsoft team seems to be not only at work but also at play. As the saying goes, make your hobby your work, and you will never work.

P.S.
I hope you understood my attitude towards the Jumsoft team and my purposes there. From now on, we will always keep in touch.

P.P.S.
I also hope you will forgive for my mistakes until I get more experience.”

Staff changes in Jumsoft

Jumsoft felt the winds of change blowing in 2007. The two most important team members decided to move on and Jumsoft was not in their plans anymore. However, good workers are hard to find, but none is irreplacable – today Jumsoft has tow new members ready to work full force in order to reach the goals of the company. Naturally, with Saulius and Aidas moving to www.pixelmator.com influenced the reforms in the company‘s management structure. These reforms have led Jumsoft to hire Client relations manager Deividas Narunas who will consult our clients on the product usage issues. By adding a new position we ensure a smooth client support service with answers to clients’ e-mails 24/7. What can be better than an advice from a professional?

Also we have a new, young and energetic designer-programmer Simonas Bastys responsible for the design and administration of our webpage. He will take care that the navigation would be user-friendly and the webpage would be informative as well as attractive. So stay with us and see us change for the better.

We believe that the most important aspects of modern business are a focus on the user satisfaction as well as the high quality of the products. Thus, we are trying our best to create new programs and to develop our older products for the clients to have a more extensive choice and greater options. Talking about the developments of the software, currently we are developing programs for MacOS X 10.5 operational system.
